the location is quiet and very scenic, close enough to the start of el camino and a hill over looking the valley with the view of the town obscured by the line of the valley, we appreciated it.
The room is somewhat small.

The rooms were well-appointed and exceptionally clean. the location was picturesque, a short walk to the post office and the center of town. Windows opened to a lovely garden view, and from the hill, I could see the valley and the town below. the proximity to the start of El Camino was convenient.

Peaceful and stunningly beautiful hotel in a truly beautiful area, just next door to the town center and the start of El Camino. The breakfast featured self-made jam. Ideal location - within walking distance from everywhere we needed. The staff was really helpful and we would stay there again.

Tried the Petit Train Touristique, felt oh so cultured. Sat on the terrace, which was surprisingly delightful. Free wifi that I barely used. Enjoyed the views from the lovely terrace and garden.
Definitely not for city folks like me, too far from civilization.

Comfortable bedding and free WiFi are just a few of the amenities that made my stay at this charming guesthouse a delight. The highlight for me was the stunning view from the double room balcony, which overlooked the picturesque town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and the majestic surrounding mountains. It felt like waking up in a postcard every morning!
Rural location, a bit far from Biarritz.

Our host at Chambres D'Hotes Garicoitz was incredibly friendly and helpful. He picked us up from town and provided us with lots of helpful information about the Camino. The location was scenic and peaceful, perfect for a good night's sleep before starting our journey. The room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this place as a great option for those not interested in albergues when starting the Camino.
